What Is A Real Vampyre?

A real Vampyre is an energy feeder with varying levels of psychic and empathic abilities which allow for manipulation of and the taking and giving of the life force energy.

A Vampyre comes into being showing varying signs of energy deficiency with usually a slow awareness of psychic ability. There is a significant interest in energy feeding such as at musical shows, with a lover, and/or an interest in the energy of blood, although the latter is far less common.

This self-awareness usually begins in adolescence or early adulthood and generally increases over time gradually to adulthood, but there are some signs in some at younger ages.

A Vampyre begins to see the energy fields and auras of people and easily learns to manipulate emotional and other psychic energies for necessary gain. Thru a heightened sensual ability they feel the emotions and energy of other people and can thus tap this resource for gain in energy needs.

Being more sensitive to all types of energy allows the Vampyre to easily sense emotions and thoughts of those near. Those who are empathic carry this further with ease.

Vampyres normally have no difficulty with the sunlight of day, except for the need of sunglasses to shield sensitive eyes and the need to protect from sunburn on exposed skin. This is generally true as vampyres are usually more sensitive to all forms of energy, with the ability to sense energy comes the need to shield oneself from excess energy. This is a reality most deal with and learn to do easily when around excess energy sources such as the sun and that of other people.

We have a natural tendency to reach out to others like us and learn about the diversity of others. There are many groups, clans, households and families that exist to lend support and share of the knowledge and experience of this life.

We also desire as a group to correct the misconceptions that society and the media have about us. We are not the blood-sucking killers that the film industry would have us all believe. We want to dispel these myths and communicate the truth about our Vampyrism.

For too long have we had to hide ourselves from those psychotic nuts who would seek us harm because of too many Vampyre films made with Vampyre hunters and "stakes". We will live among all humans and coexist in the society around us, while teaching those with open minds about the truth of Vampyrism and taking the risk of ridicule and harm.

History has taught us and others about the mass murder and violence that has been made against so many by the human kind. Normal humans have proven themselves to be the best at killing and torturing their fellow kind. No other living thing does it like the human species. So we walk in a world being blown up around us seeing this energy unlike any other. The film industry and media portray us as monsters and yet who really are the monsters of the world? The mass murderers that are all around us answer that.

We have a high regard of life, although we feed off of the energy of others, we do not harm others or cause pain and suffering. Those that do cannot call themselves true vampyres. As those with empathic abilities, we feel the emotions of others including pain and suffering.

We have gone thru this world hated and feared, and misunderstood. We desire to change this and dispel these attitudes while being able to be ourselves and not persecuted. While we are quite different in our abilities and needs, we also believe that our souls are true and carry forth what we are.

Where so many believe that one can just be "embraced" or "turned" or "made" into a Vampyre, we know that we have inherent needs and abilities that come from within, that is who we are, not what we chose to be. We all learn many things from our environments, but we as vampyres know that what we have is within ourselves and within our souls. It is carried on through the generations.

We as vampyres know that the normal human has left very little untouched on this world. There are no places for us to be left alone, so we will be in that community in that city and in that state. We are becoming more organized and united for this moment is our time to become known and dispel the misconceptions about us.

We have become more open in such forums as computer websites and in our neighborhoods. This is our risk, but we will see it through for we want others to know about the true Vampyre.

Vampyrism is not a simple path to adhere to for everyone.
Vampyres are born dark and experience childhood differently than non vampyres.
They are in touch with their dark side but too often are confused until a deeper understanding of who they are comes into focus.
There are many aspects of Vampyres.
There are those who relate to the ideals and values of a never ending life, immortality, power, the ability to transform and control elements, combining vague facts or fantasy into their lives, creating a mythical vampyre.These vampire humans are in search of themselves and need to be encouraged to delve deeper to find the true meanings that await them.
True Vampyres
Vampyres do not view themselves as humans, because we are not human in all terms, true Vampyres see humans as the weak strain, full of emotions that drain away at them, wandering around like sheep in a field waiting to be herded into a flock.Vampyres see humans as prey and life force.
We are the darkness of nature, strong and beautiful.
Emotional Balance
Vampyres look upon themselves as "GODS"; there is nothing above us, only beneath.
We kneel before our make shift altars in obtaining growth and enlightenment of true darkness.
We invoke and conjure powers in various forms for development and attainment of advancement.
We dedicate our selves to ourselves.
During advanced training, human emotions are a hindrance to the true Vampyre; they create confusion and too often get in the way of reaching the desired goal. Total focus and strength is needed during ritual work. Moral values that are instilled in us since early childhood should be cast away; Vampyres are not guided by these moral issues, as they are considered part of the weakness of humans, and have no impact on a Vampyre.
This advanced training is highly regarded as the initial step into being an Adept Vampyre, the combinations of ritual work, developing psychic strength, pushing one self to the very limits, as well as testing these developments in and outwardly is only part of the rigid training that slowly builds the character needed for the Vampyre Adept.

The Six Traditions Of Gotham and VA Halos(Updated Version)

I. The Veil
Implication of the Black Veil. One's True nature should not easily be revealed to those not of our kind (i.e. Mundane's). Use Discretion!!! Bringing unwanted attention to yourself, your Sire, Elders, Family, Household,Clan and the over all Community/Scene is forbidden.

II. The Accounting
Those you choose to Awaken (Sire) are your responsibility until they are released from your Bloodline/Household or is at a rank that is more individual (Adviser, Elder). The action (Good or Bad) of the Childe reflects upon the Sire and Household.

III. The Bloodline
In Order for one to start/pass on a Bloodline they must fit the minimum criteria which is: a Calmae (if a Calmae, be a Calmae for at least a year and a day if not longer) or Higher in Status, have ones right to Sire a childe approved by your own Sire and Head of Household. Have three to five childer under you with at least one of them being prepared for ascension to Calmae. Ultimately the Elders of that particular Household have the final Say in allowing or declining the request.

IV. Destruction
Any being may be charged with wrong doing. If proven that there was wrong doing, consequences and ramifications will be handled by that persons Sire and if need be Head of Household/ (Elders of the House). If that individual and or Household are a part of a Court then they are also suspect to the rules of the Court.

V. The Haven/ Domain
Regardless of House, Rank or individual status every member most RESPECT the Haven and or Domain that you are in. A Haven is a set neutral place (Club, Party, Lounge, get together…) where one can go for a stress free atmosphere and can converse with like minded kindred while having a good time. Domains are a Geographic location, Gotham Halo (NYC) Lightning Bay (Florida)… Respect yourself enough to respect others Domains; Havens are in place for ALL in the community so respect it as it was your own Home.

VI. Hospitality
When visiting a foreign Domain one must present themselves to the Head of that Domain giving them the proper courtesy and respect in which they are entitled to.

Initiate Ordeal ( Jahira )

This is the most basic of all Ordeals.Study the Black Veil.
Here we are EXPLORING and TESTING,
The elementary Outer Teachings of Strigoi Vii and beginning to,
experience Zhep'r and awaken our inner dragon.
Prospectii must be at least 18 years of age.
Prospectii are required to know the Black Veil , The Strigoi Vii Covenant and
The House Covenant.
It is traditional that for the Jahira Ascension rite the Prospectii be
accepted by sponsor ( Adra , Sire )
who has at least completed the Calmae ordeal.
during the Ascension the Jahira is given or chooses a Night side name,
and consecrates their own Strigoi Vii ankh.

The qualities of what makes up a Noctem Aeternus member:
Every seeker is a unique experience and there are certain qualities which ,
distinguish a Noctem Aeternus seeker,
from other Sanguinarium or Vampyre families.

1. Realists in that Vampyrism is more than just a fashion statement.
We physically do not turn into bats or mist,
Our bodies do not last forever.
We are human beings who have been modified on an astral level.

2. Ambition and realizing the world is not an easy place and willing to challenge things in your life.
You must realize that you are your own person and if you want to get things done,
in this world you have to do them your self.

3. Individual, you are not a follower , sheep or seeking membership to a Vampire fan club for self gratification or just looking for something to belong to.
You are seeking affiliation with Noctem Aeternus for self growth and to achieve Xeper
individually and as a family.

4. Magickal ability.
Not fear but respect of the occult and a skill at ritual and energy work.
Many members of Noctem Aeternus are encouraged to be powerful and skilled in many paths
( Santeia, Buddhism, Gnostic, Christianity, Paganism, Setian, Tantric workings, etc.

5. Support of the family.
We want people who are dedicated and loyal to the family.
Who want to see the success of the household and put it first amongst all other
Occult or Vampyric organizations.

6. Humbleness & Patience.
You have to understand and be willing to make the investment in the family as we are making one in you.
It will take time before you formally get initiated.
If it does not work out there is a reason.
Even if you are an "Elder" in another house.
We respect those willing to take the necessary steps
like all others that join the family.

7. Seeking one's Dragon within.
Seeking one's ultimate state of existence and realizing that pursuit of

respecting the Human and Day side worlds laws.
Though we are an international subculture with our own codes of conduct,
we still live in their world.
NO member of the family should ever commit
ANY illegal act which will bring shame, unwanted and unhealthy,
attention to yourself, the house or the nation.

3. Minors
Some of us feel that the first signs of Awakening start at an early age.
Yes, in some of us this is true,
but the risk is to great for a misunderstanding.
Under no circumstances allow anyone under 18
to be initiated into a house of any kind, attend Quabals, undertake ordeals
or gain access to any outer or inner teachings.

4. Our Mission
All of our kind are of the same great spiritual family.
We are all parts of the spiritual organism that is Elorath.
It is our job to our brethren to see past our differences
and pull together and try and make something of ourselves.
In doing so, we create jobs for those in our nation
and set an example for the next generation.
Never force our way or will on another,
Doing so will weaken they're love for the nation,
thus making it and us weaker.
Let them come to us.
If they feel the calling they will come.
Understand we come from all walks of life and faiths.
Teach what you know and learn from them.
No one has all the answers to who and what we are.

7. The Pact
Honor, Chivalry and Loyalty

We seek to resurrect and express the empowering traditions
of long lost eras,

8. Respect
Always act civil even to your deepest enemy.
Resolve conflicts in private.
Confront those who have offended you
directly and respectfully.
Know that you have the right to protect your Honor, self, Family and home
but do it with respect.
When in another's land know the laws and respect them.

9. Swans
We are to have two Swans and a mate,
but this is your choice and not the choice of your mate.
You can not hide this from your mate.
Screen your Swans.
Let them understand they have to be clean.
Because it is not merely their health at risk,
but the health of the rest of the house as well.
When feeding sexually use protection.
Know that feeding is not only sexual!
When feeding from Blood makes sure the donor is clean.
Never feed from the ill, elderly or young.
Never feed from some one else's swan without their permission.

10. Problems
Noctem Aeternus is not a role playing organization,
or society of fang wearing teenagers trying to be something they
are not.
We are a secret society in that we maintain absolute,
confidentiality of our membership.
Noctem Aeternus is a neutral family within the
Sanguinarium and Vampyre community.
We as a family do not get involved in the politics of other,
organizations or games of individuals.
If it has nothing to do with the house,
let it stay where it is.

11. Progress
All members of Noctem Aeternus are encouraged to contribute,
to the family and Vampyre community with the fullest use of their
talents and skills.
There is no shame in running businesses for the benefit of the household.
Monetary stability provides power to achieve goals of the household.
We know you must start somewhere.
No matter what the job is, a job is a job.
But we of Noctem Aeternus strive to better ourselves.
Never settle for less then you are worth.

12. Family
We of Noctem Aeternus are a family
and understand that family may not always see eye to eye.
Fights happen in family, words are said and deeds are done.
What makes a family, is how we get past the hurtful things and deeds that were done,
that is what unites us.
Try to see thing through their eyes, and understand
why and what they are saying.
So you can better understand were they are coming from.
It is this diversity and open-mindedness that empowers us.
It is that view of the bigger picture that lets us see the cycles and,
commonalities of all in the house and nation.
To become blind to one of them would be to lose a piece of the puzzle.
We are of the same mind and blood, let no one come between us!

13. Haven
Open your doors to our kin.
Know that doing so will open the hearts of others
and bring unity. Let our kin know that they have a safe place to rest
when in our land.
If we can not trust our own kind,
then who can we trust.

14. Your Word
Your word is your bond.
We of Noctem Aeternus put our Honor first.
If you say something; mean it.
A man/woman has nothing if he/she has not their word.
So, when you say you will do something; it will be done.

15. Knowledge
Noctem Aeternus is here to teach and learn.
We seek to better understand ourselves through
researching who and what we are.
One cannot learn if ones' mind is not open.
Seek out to better your self in life.
Progress is what we seek. How can
we teach if we are not willing to learn?

16. Be Aware of Moral Traditions and Laws and Codes of Conduct
All House members should know by heart the Laws of the House.They should also strive to learn any other sets of moral rules/codes of conduct they encounter to avoid offending members of other Houses and Orders. The Black Veil is an example of a set of moral laws/code of conduct, and should be studied as such.

17. Do not give opinions or advice unless you are asked.
Doing so may cause misunderstanding.

18. Do not make sexual advances unless you are given the mating signal.
If they tell you they don't wish to to be with you like that, have Respect and understanding.

19. Do not take that which does not belong to you.
If you can not get it the right way it is not meant for you!

20. Acknowledge the power of magic if you have used it successfully to obtain your desires. If you deny the power of magic after having called upon it with success, you will lose all you have obtained.

21. Do not complain about anything to which you need not subject yourself.

22. Do not harm little children.

23. Do not kill humans or animals unless attacked or for your food.
With humans if you are left with no other way and your life is on the line, only then may you protect your self and take a life!

24. When walking in open territory, bother no one. If someone bothers you, ask him to stop. If he does not stop, destroy him.

The Sexual Vampyre

The following is a definition of acts which we don't consider to be a true sexual Vampyre and as such, are not found to be respected by our code of conduct/honor.

The real Vampyre is out for what he or she can get with little regard for their Prey, and Prey is the proper terminology here. The Vampyre will often use psychic strength to woo their prey, to make the person, usually human, become attracted to them, like them, and want them. They also have been known to cajole, threaten, beguile, and use flattery as a tool -- as the Social Vampyre will do.
The Sexual Vampyre feeds off of the sexual energy, the sexual need, the dependence of their prey once a secure relationship is established.

Once a relationship is established they do everything they can to cement the bond. They pick a person who is vulnerable. Someone who just came from an abusive relationship, someone who has been alone for a long time. Someone not described usually as beautiful or attractive, someone perhaps very over weight or who has no close ties. Very young or inexperienced people, etc. because these individuals are easier to conquer. Then the Vampyre becomes the perfect mate, everything the person could ever have dreamed of; kind, generous, caring, loving, involved etc. However, this is all a ploy, as the Vampyre uses his or her psychic power to bond and hold fast his prey, until the person is convinced they cannot live with out this special person. All the while and even more after, this Vampyre is feeding on the sexual emotions, energies and desires of the prey.
In reality this Vampyre cares nothing for the person. It is a hunt, prey and the Vampyre is enjoying the hunt, the capture, the conquest and the prize of their labors -- and the emotions. The same is true with some Psi-Vamps, but in that case the actual physical energy from the sexual experience is fed upon more then the act or the emotions.

When the Vampyre is satisfied he/she now has this person fully controlled, he/she begins to be not so nice, not so loving, hinting or boldly stating that if this person does not do exactly what the Vampyre wishes, he/she will leave. Another scenario is acting like some little thing done by the person is a great crime and that the person is lucky they bother to stay at all. By now the poor victim is so hooked by their love and need for the Vampyre, and they are truly helpless under this threat of the loss of the relationship -- loss of the Vampyre in their life. So they agree to anything, such as sex acts they do not like, the fact that they now may be expected to support this person and pay their bills or buy them expensive things.
The human prey has no chance of having their hurt be so strong that they leave because no matter how strong their hurt or pain is, the conscious and psychic controls used by the Vampyre is something they can neither realize is happening nor can they prevent it from happening. There is also no hope in the mind clearing enough to see the truth that they are not being loved, just used. Because in the case of the Vampyre, the minds are controlled as well.

The Sexual Vampyre has the preys ' blood, mind and body at his or her command and can pretty much do as they like with the prey. If the pain, fear and humility becomes too strong and the prey begins to want to end the relationship, the Vampyre just goes back to the original controls, until the love bond in the prey, or the need, is strengthened to the extent that the person can not leave.
Yes, these are negatives and thank Mother Night there are not many around like this. But they are out there and it is the hunt, the conquest and the sexual dependency of others that they feed from, and must have, to survive.
